Jack Moore, Welding Engineer

Jack Moore is a welding engineer who works at Yaskawa Motoman. He builds, tests, and programs robots to weld and complete complex jobs. Jack studied to be a welding engineer at The Ohio State University and focuses on metallurgy. His expertise in this branch of science allows him to understand how heat and metal properties work together for successful welding.

Rebecca Jaramillo, Ornithologist

Rebecca Jaramillo is the Director of the Glen Helen Raptor Center in Yellow Springs, OH. She works to train and rehabilitate injured birds in hopes to release them back into the wild.  Rebecca provides educational outreach to schools and the community to help them better understand how we can help birds in our ecosystem!

Cara is the Innovation and Maker Manager at Spark Place. This innovative maker space is part of the  Greene County Public Library system and provides the community with access to modern technology that allows patrons to make amazing things at their public library. Cara developed the space with innovation in mind! Spark Place is visited by thousands of people each year!

Scott Cornell, Mechanical Engineer

Scott Cornell is the Director of Engineering for Genesis Rescue. He is a mechanical engineer who works to design and manufacture precision tools that are used in the rescue industry.  These extrication tools require immense precision.  These rescue tools are used by rescue workers all around the world!

Dr. Sarah Finch, Biologist

Sarah Finch, Ph.D, is an Associate Professor of Biology and Biotechnology at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, OH. Sarah graduated from Miami University in Oxford, OH with a degree in Microbiology and a Medical Sociology minor. She received numerous awards for her undergraduate research in genetics there. Sarah continued her education at the University of Georgia where she earned her Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics by studying the protein involved in spinal muscular atrophy, a genetic disease that strikes mostly children.

Elizabeth Cusack, Library Deputy Director

Elizabeth Cusack is the Deputy Director for the Greene County Public Library. Elizabeth is responsible for purchasing, organizing and distributing books and resources to all of the branches in the county. Elizabeth has worked for the library for over 20 years and loves being a champion for her community.  Her role as deputy director is critical and ensures that everyone in her community has access to all of the books and resources they want to check out!

Garrett Robinson Respiratory Therapist
Garrett Robinson is a respiratory therapist and works at Premier Health. He helps patients and works with them to strengthen their lung capacity when they're struggling with lung or other health issues. A respiratory therapist is a healthcare professional who specializes in the treatment of patients with breathing problems, such as asthma, emphysema, pneumonia, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). They are responsible for providing respiratory care services, which include assessing patients' respiratory functions, developing and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress.

Janice Potter is the Technical Director and Program Manager at the Schuster Center for Dayton Live. Janice ensures that every production that tours and visits the Schuster Center has all of the necessary components to bring the show to life. She's in charge of communicating all of the show's needs to her team. Not only does Janice manage all of the shows that come to the venue, but she gets to interact with all sorts of cool STEM in her career!

Meet Lori Kyle and Teresa Shinkle. Lori is the Laboratory Manager at Greene Country Sanitary Engineering Laboratory. She oversees the testing of Greene County, Ohio's water to ensure it's safe to drink. She also works closely with Teresa Shinkle who is one of her water technicians. This amazing career uses all sorts of STEM each and every day.

Water Technicians play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient management of water resources. Responsibilities encompass a range of tasks related to water quality testing, treatment, and distribution. Collaborating with a team of professionals, water technicians conduct routine inspections of water systems, collecting and analyzing samples to monitor compliance with regulatory standards.
